The Engineering Faculty at SDU is a major center for leading-edge research and top-quality education in computer science and engineering in Kazakhstan. In addition to offering the only contemporary computer and information sciences education in Kazakhstan, it plays a major role as a source of talented graduates for the computer industry, locally and beyond.

More than 75% of the faculty students have state grants. The students of Suleyman Demirel University (SDU) successfully participate in International Students Olympics and Project Contests both in Kazakhstan, and abroad. Annually, they take part in World Championships of Programming for student teams with successful results.

The students of the Engineering faculty get fundamental and advanced knowledge in the development of integrated WEB-applications and study such subjects as algorithms, software designing, database systems, discrete mathematics, logical programming, cryptography, computer networks, computer simulation, etc.
